How to qualify?

To qualify for an ACP discount, a household must have a member who meets any of the following criteria:
- Participation in SNAP/Food Stamps/CalFresh
- Receipt of a Pell Grant in the current award year
- Participation in Medicaid/Medi-Cal
- Participation in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Receipt of Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Participation in Section 8/Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Receipt of Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
- Participation in the Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
- Participation in the Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program
- An income that is at or below 200% of the Federal poverty level
Documentation such as a card, letter, or official document may be required as proof of participation in one of these programs when applying for the ACP.
